Helpless Me

I am so tired, really really tired. Physically, mentally and financially exhausted; too much had happened in just a month’s time.

Firstly, my mother-in-law passed away on the 04 Oct which I have mentioned in my earlier post. The pain was tremendous when a beloved extended family member passed on. I am still grieving and trying to heal the wounds within.

Secondly, Jeremy’s sloppiness is getting out of hand. All he is doing now is dazing on his cozy couch and spacing out while watching the television. He is not doing the household chores, not cooking his meals, not playing his favorite games, not surfing the websites, not hanging out and most importantly, not hunting for job…he is practically doing nothing. I cannot afford to let him daze anymore. The tragedy might have caused him trauma but this is no excuse. He needs to get a decent job and get on his life. My eyes will be with him as I cannot take the risk of him mixing with those friends, committing the same crime and going back to jail. This is definitely not what my mother-in-law hopes for. Jeremy, you are an adult so wake up your f**king mind.

Thirdly, my credit card statement is outrageous. My bill from the 5th Sep to the 4th Oct is 18K. It is not 18K gold but SGD 18,000. I dropped to the ground in disbelief. The statement goes…$5500 for my psychiatrist, $2400 for my dental treatment, $1300 for my hair treatment package, $350 for my monthly installment and $600 for my brother’s gift and $8000 on my sub card. Jeremy has swop SGD 8000 in a nightclub. Damn it. I am furious, he is never gonna be able to pay me and I cannot afford to owe the bank as the interest is ridicules. Now I am financially crippled not because of the recession but for my stupidity.

Fourthly, my medical insurance was rejected due to my medical history. I have got my dear friend, Eile to help me appeal since I have got the doctor’s report that I am progressing. I feel insecure now, what will happen if I no longer have money in my medisave account and couldn’t afford the medical bills.

Fifthly, the coming annual Christmas show is still not ready. It is exactly 2 month from the actual performance date but the children are still not ready. We have already been practicing for 2 months, but our 2 major roles are leaving the show to have a holiday with the family. The younger children are still as hyper. They still couldn’t remember the entire the dance step and are not at all familiarize with the stage. May the Lord be with me and give us all the faith to have the show going on smoothly.

Sixthly, my sister just got bitten by the neighbor’s dog that had attacked Mambo previously. She was badly injured and was sent to the hospital for immediate operation. She is admitted for 3 days with injuries to her arm and thigh. I was pissed; no one in the family knows what to do. I have to send her to the hospital, wait for the doctor to attend to her and seen her to the OT. Then I have to bring the culprit to the police station for an official statement for future charges. Thereafter, I need to call AVA to investigate the case. I too alert the management that the dog actually posed a danger to all the resident as it has previous history of attacking both dogs and human. They are required to put up poster to warn the residents and to ensure that the dog is muffle at all times. I also take the matter to the next level by pressing charges against the owner on a civil suit. I am not going to let the matter rest until I get justice, though I am not the victim.

Lastly, it will be my work. I love my job, the environment, the job scope; the colleague…everything about it is good. But the work load is way too much. I am handling a couple of account and most of the group departure. I cannot handle all these alone as the group departure requires a lot of attention. My teammates are unable to assist me as none of them have the experience in attending to groups. I am on my own.

I am having too much on my hands and I really cannot cope on my own. I am tired, alone, depressed and desperate. I am human too and need a supportive hand to overcome all the setbacks but it is nowhere to be found. Where can I find my shore?

Grieving Time

My mother in law has passed on last weekend.

It happened at about 5 plus in the morning of 03 Oct. She was hit by a drunk driver on the way to work. I wasn’t inform till later that day when I was schedule to attend Jo-an’s wedding. I was all shaken up and stood in a daze for 2 mins before I could react to it. Tears rolled down and I rush over to see to the funeral arrangement.

Jeremy was very unstable. He lost his dad before he went to jail in 2006 and now just a week after his release, his mom passed on. I could totally understand his stand but he is beyond console. I tried and I fail, knowing that no matter how upset I am, I have to stay strong to make sure that everything is running smoothly. I couldn’t let my emotion rule this time. There is no one to turn to, despite all the happening; I still have to watch over him. I am really tired but I need to be strong.
